bellagreen Goes BIG for Earth Week

DALLAS (April 15, 2019) – bellagreen™ is Texas’ first certified green restaurant, so it’s no surprise that the American bistro is going all out for Earth Day.

Earth Day is April 22 but bellagreen believes that Mother Earth deserves more than a one-day celebration, so all of its locations are celebrating for an entire week, April 22-27.

“At bellagreen, we are committed to contributing to a better world for the communities we serve by using high-quality ingredients and sustainable environmental practices,” said CEO Jason Morgan. “Last year, we celebrated Earth Week by pledging to cut our plastic footprint and we fulfilled this promise 15 months early by reducing our plastic waste by more than 50 percent in January 2019. Mother Earth is at the center of everything we do, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate her beauty with our teams and communities during Earth Week this year.”

Dallasites can celebrate Earth Week with bellagreen during any of the following free events:

bellagreen is kicking off the celebration on Earth Day, Monday, April 22 by giving away 800 tree seedlings! The first 100 guests at all locations will receive a free tree seedling to plant in their yard. All seedlings will be generously donated by bellagreen’s non-profit partner, Texas Trees Foundation for Dallas whose mission is to beautify North Texas by planting trees and encouraging others to do the same.

Then, on Tuesday, April 23, bellagreen will donate $1 from the sale of all seasonal entrées for the day to the Texas Trees Foundation for Dallas.

On Wednesday, April 24, bellagreen is hosting an Earth More Beautiful Scavenger Hunt. Guests are encouraged to find one of the 16 hidden Earths located in secret hiding spots throughout Houston and Dallas then turn it into their closest bellagreen to reveal a gift card amount which will be awarded to each lucky finder. Gift card amounts will range from $15 to $100. Guests are encouraged to follow bellagreen on Instagram @eatbellagreen for clues the morning of April 24.

On Thursday, April 25, bellagreen will host a cooking demo on the patio at its restaurant located at 8041 Walnut Hill Lane, Ste. 810 in Dallas from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Attendees will enjoy one 6-ounce glass of wine and passed hors d’oeuvres while a local chef demos items from the Spring Seasonal menu. The demo is free to attend, but there is a limit of 30 guests, so be sure to RSVP now by heading to bellagreen.com/cookingdemo.

Friday, April 26, is the last day that guests can make their “Go Green” pledge online to enter for a chance to win a green kitchen makeover in the form of a $500 Amazon gift card. Those interested may enter by visitingbellagreen.com/gogreen-sweepstakes/. Guests are also invited to bring 10 recycled wine corks into their favorite bellagreen restaurant in exchange for a free glass of wine. All collected corks will be upcycled to create the brand’s next cork art wall, a staple of the new bellagreen prototype.

On the final day of the celebration, Saturday, April 27, bellagreen is throwing a bella bash! Join bellagreen for live music on the patio of its Walnut Hill restaurant. All locations will also be offering $2 mimosas and $2 off wine all day. These events are family-friendly and will feature activities for the kids.
